In a heartwarming gesture during Ramadan, the Cox’s Bazar Hotel Employees’ Union organized a special Iftar gathering for orphaned and madrasa students in the hotel-motel zone of the city. The event featured a diverse spread of fruits, chickpeas, puffed rice, sherbet, and other delicious items, bringing smiles to 180 students from two madrasas.
The union aims to foster unity, solidarity, and mutual support among hotel sector workers in Cox’s Bazar while promoting social harmony through community initiatives.
Speaking about the event, Union President Mohammad Nazim Uddin and General Secretary Rokon Ahmed stated:
“We wanted to do something different this year—something beyond the usual Iftar gatherings. Sharing this moment with orphaned and madrasa students has been truly special for us.”
They added that while the union organizes Iftar every year, this time, their focus was on creating a meaningful experience for the children.
