In the heart of Cox’s Bazar, where the rhythm of the sea meets the pulse of youth, a new chapter in intellectual engagement is about to begin.

The Cox’s Bazar Government College Debate Club is set to host “Debate Workshop 2025” on November 6 at 11:30 a.m. in the college auditorium — an event designed to inspire a new generation of confident, logical, and expressive thinkers.

According to the organizers, the workshop will be conducted by Mobin Majumdar, one of the country’s most accomplished debaters.

A former member of the Dhaka University Debating Society (DUDS), he has also served as the vice president of the AF Rahman Hall Debating Club and the Remians Debating Society.

“This workshop isn’t just about debating; it’s about finding your voice,” said Moin Uddin Rakib, president of the college debate club.

“Many students in Cox’s Bazar struggle with hesitation and the influence of local dialects when they speak. We want to break that barrier and help them express ideas with clarity and confidence.”

He added, “Our dream is to see students from Cox’s Bazar shine nationally — not just through academic merit but through the strength of their communication and critical thinking. This workshop could be the spark that starts that transformation.”

The organizers believe the event will empower students with analytical thinking, public speaking skills, and a logical mindset — qualities essential for tomorrow’s leaders.
