Cox’s Bazar International University (CBIU) organized an alumni meeting for its Islamic Studies Department on Friday, January 24, at the university auditorium. Lion Mohammad Mujibur Rahman, the university’s founder and chairman, was the chief guest.

In his address, Lion Mujibur Rahman highlighted the critical contributions of former students in advancing the institution. He expressed gratitude toward those who have contributed to building a better Bangladesh and called for collective efforts to achieve the university’s future aspirations.

The department head chaired the meeting, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Ataullah Khaled, and attended by several distinguished guests, including Trustee Board Vice-Chairperson Mahbuba Sultana Shiuli, Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Touhid Hossain Chowdhury, Dean Professor Kazi Mustain Billah, Proctor Muhammad Badiul Alam, and PR and Media Assistant Director Imam Khair.

The event commenced with a welcome speech by the program’s convener, Assistant Professor Muhammad Hamidur Rahman, who shared insights into the university’s history, heritage, and revival efforts. Other notable speakers included lecturers Muhammad Abdul Aziz, Naimuddin Mahmud, and Muhammad Zayed.

The meeting emphasized the role of alumni in contributing to the university’s progress and strengthening its legacy.
