There’s a gentle touch of autumn in the air — leaves are falling, a hint of chill drifts through the breeze, and the landscape whispers of the coming winter.

Along with this seasonal shift, Cox’s Bazar beach has donned a fresh look.

Across the vast stretch of golden sand now lies a soft green carpet of sagarlata or sea morning glory, its delicate purple blooms painting nature’s own canvas.

The sea morning glory, native to coastal dunes, not only helps hold the sand in place but also adds to the scenic charm of Bangladesh’s longest sea beach.

In the morning light or the golden hue of dusk, these tiny purple flowers shimmer like jewels against the backdrop of the ocean.

Tourists are mesmerized by the scene. Many are seen taking pictures beside the flowers and sharing them on social media.

Local tourism operators say the season brings renewed beauty to the beach — and with it, a rise in visitors.

This selfless beauty of nature does more than delight the eye; it reminds us that, like the rhythm of the seasons, life too has its own graceful cycle and charm.
