Hikari Karate Club Bangladesh (HKC), Cox’s Bazar Unit, hosted a colorful belt, certificate, and award distribution ceremony at the field of Cox’s Bazar Kolatoli Government Primary School, where the participation of students, parents, and invited guests brought a festive atmosphere to the area.

The event’s chief guest was Shihan Shahjada Alam, President of the Bangladesh Karate Federation and Chief Instructor of the Bangladesh Karate Training Centre. 

He praised the young karatekas for their discipline and talent, expressing that karate is highly effective in guiding the new generation towards the right path through sports. Cox’s Bazar students have shown admirable intelligence and discipline, he added.

Master Mofizur Rahman, Advisor of Hikari Karate Club Kolatoli Unit, attended as the keynote speaker and highlighted the physical, mental, and moral development that martial arts offer. He noted that karate is not only essential for self-defense but also plays an important role in building discipline, boosting confidence, and keeping society free from drugs.

Special guests included Shihan A.B. Rony, Executive Member of the Bangladesh Karate Coaches Association and Advisor of Hikari Karate Club; Sujon Kalyan Baduya, President of the HKC Bangladesh Central Committee; and Joynal Abedin, Kata Technical Head Coach (HKC) and former Kata Judge, Black Belt 5th Dan (BKF). Imam Hossain, the Chief Instructor and Chief Director of HKC Cox’s Bazar, delivered the welcome speech.

Other speakers who addressed the ceremony included Advisor and journalist Saymun Amin; Alhaj Nurul Islam, President of the Kolatoli Community Management Committee; Tayebur Rahman, the committee’s General Secretary; and Nasir Uddin Bachchu, Proprietor of Shalik Restaurant. Guests attending the event also included Civasur Sports Director Mujibur Rahman, HKC Kolatoli Unit General Secretary Mizanur Rahman, Paan Bazar Road Business Association General Secretary Nasir Uddin Sumon, and noted politician Liakat Ali Parvez.

Mostak Ahmed, the President of the Hikari Karate Club Bangladesh (HKC) Kolatoli Unit, presided over the program. All speakers emphasized the importance of sports, disciplined living, and karate’s role in creating a drug-free society.

A total of 30 participants were awarded belts, certificates, and crests across different categories, including five who received the prestigious Black Belt honor.

The ceremony was organized by Hikari Karate Club Bangladesh (HKC), Kolatoli Unit, Cox’s Bazar.
