There is little of the bustle and noise found in the busier areas. Instead, visitors can spend some peaceful time beneath the open sky, listening to the waves.
From morning through the afternoon, the number of tourists at Kobita Chattar gradually increases.
Some sit by the sea and watch the waves roll in, while others walk barefoot along the sand. Families pose for photographs, while others spend relaxed moments with their loved ones.
Standing before the sea’s vastness, many tourists appear captivated by the scenery.
Mobile phone cameras capture the blue sky, rolling waves, and scenic beach views, while people also take photos and videos to share on social media.
Hasib, a tourist, said he had visited Cox’s Bazar many times but found the experience at Kobita Chattar different.
“It feels different here. The environment is relatively quiet. Watching the waves and sitting beneath the open sky is a wonderful experience,” he said.
Another tourist, Reshmi Akter, said she had come to Cox’s Bazar to take a break from the busy pace of city life.
“Coming to Kobita Chattar feels genuinely relaxing. It is a beautiful place to spend time with family,” she said.
For many tourists, the attraction is not only the scenery but also the opportunity to spend time closer to nature.
Kobita Chattar is particularly appealing to those who prefer to avoid the crowds and noise of the busier parts of the beach.
People in the tourism sector say the beauty of Cox’s Bazar isn’t limited to its blue waters.
Different parts of the beach offer different experiences—from beautiful sunrises and colourful sunsets to rough waves and quieter stretches where tourists can sit and enjoy the sea.
Amid this variety, Kobita Chattar offers something slightly different.
Alongside the sea’s vastness, it offers a relatively peaceful setting, making it increasingly attractive to nature lovers and tourists seeking a quieter place to spend their time.
