Following a two-day suspension due to violence in Myanmar’s Rakhine state, passenger and cargo boat services on the Teknaf-Saint Martin route have resumed as the situation has somewhat stabilized.

This morning, a dried fish-laden boat carrying 15 passengers safely reached Teknaf Jetty from Saint Martin Island.

Sheikh Ehsan Uddin, the Upazila Executive Officer, confirmed that the Coast Guard assists during high tides to ensure safe navigation, allowing boat operations on the route under strict caution.
