Brac Bank emerged as the champions of the Bankers Cricket Tournament held at the Cox’s Bazar International Cricket Stadium, defeating Mercantile Bank by 4 wickets in a thrilling final on Sunday.
The amateur corporate cricket squad of Brac Bank successfully chased Mercantile Bank’s target of 107 runs in the 15-over showdown, securing their victory with ease and showcasing a strong team effort throughout the tournament.
Six banks participated in the tournament: Brac Bank, Mercantile Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Dhaka Bank, City Bank, and Eastern Bank.
Brac Bank’s team captain and procurement officer, Alauddin Mona, was named Player of the Tournament and Best Batter for his outstanding performance. Ishan Bonik from the Card Operations Department earned the Player of the Final and Best Bowler titles.
Brac Bank’s victory highlighted their balanced team strength, with players excelling in both batting and bowling across the tournament.
