Lion Md Mujibur Rahman, founder and chairman of Cox’s Bazar International University, has departed for South Korea to attend the Korea–Bangladesh Library ODA Working Conference.
A high-level delegation from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education left Bangladesh on the night of April 16 to participate in the conference, which focuses on building a knowledge-based society, advancing education and strengthening sustainable cooperation between the two countries, said a press release.
The initiative highlights the role of South Korea’s technological expertise in modernising Bangladesh’s library sector.
Through this collaboration, access to information for the country’s younger generation is expected to improve, opening new horizons in the education sector.
The conference is also expected to serve as an effective platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences between the two countries.
