Shops at Sugandha Burmese Market display a variety of pearl ornaments, neatly arranged in glass cases. Jewellery made from sea pearls—sourced from marine shells—symbolises elegance and luxury. However, most shops feature cultured pearl pieces, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. While natural sea pearls are rare, demand for cultured designs remains strong, with young tourists often purchasing them as gifts or keepsakes.
