The Tourist Police in the Cox’s Bazar region have completed a two-day Coastal Tourism Security Course. The Tourist Police Headquarters supervised the training, which took place on December 1-2 and received approval from the Bangladesh Police. Twenty inspectors and sub-inspectors from the Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police unit participated in the course.

The training commenced on December 1 and was inaugurated by the Chief of Tourist Police, DIG Md. Abu Kalam Siddique, at the Mini-Conference Room of the Tourist Police Headquarters. In his opening remarks, DIG Siddique emphasized the significance of specialized policing in coastal areas to enhance safety and attract more tourists.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Al Asad Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam of the Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police presided over the inaugural ceremony. Additional DIG Bidhan Tripura from the Chattogram division of the Tourist Police, among other officials, also addressed the event.

This initiative aims to equip the tourist police with the necessary skills to provide secure and welcoming environments for domestic and international visitors in the country’s coastal zones.
