At around 7:00 am, Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach presents a completely different atmosphere—calm, quiet, and soothing.

Surrounded by a gentle sea breeze and the rhythmic sound of waves, the beach offers a serene beauty before the bustle of the day begins. Every corner of the shoreline appears to carry a sense of peace during the early morning hours.

Small-scale business activities also began gradually at that time. Workers arrive early with beach chairs, jet skis, horses, beach bikes, and other recreational equipment to prepare for the day’s operations.

At the same time, members of the Sea Safe Lifeguard service begin their duties at 7:00am, providing safety support to tourists at the Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni points on the beach.

Compared with later hours of the day, tourist presence remains relatively low in the morning. Locals say fewer people now maintain the habit of waking up early, though some visitors still come specifically to enjoy the peaceful seaside environment.

Some tourists walked along the shore, enjoying the cool sea breeze, while others stood quietly, listening to the waves.

Residents also exercised on the beach as part of their daily routine. Some were jogging, others walking, or engaging in light workouts in the open environment.

They said visiting the beach in the morning had become a regular habit for maintaining physical and mental well-being.

Saiful Islam, a tourist from Dhaka, said, “I have never seen such a calm and beautiful beach before. The atmosphere in the morning feels entirely different and very refreshing.”

Another tourist, Nusrat Jahan, said she had planned to watch the sunrise in Cox’s Bazar.

“Although the sky was cloudy and we could not see the sunrise today, we still have no regrets. The morning environment itself is mesmerising,” she said.

Local visitor Rubel Kanti said, “I come here every morning for a walk. The sea breeze and peaceful surroundings refresh the mind, while the walk also helps maintain excellent health.”

Senior lifeguard Mohammad Osman, who works at the beach, said, “We start our activities from 7:00am. Safety measures, including the installation of towers and the placement of red-and-yellow flags, are in place at the Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni points. From morning until sunset, we remain responsible for ensuring tourist safety.”

The tranquil morning atmosphere of Cox’s Bazar beach continues to offer visitors a rare sense of comfort and natural beauty amid busy urban life.
