At Cox’s Bazar International University (CBIU), the town’s only private university, education goes beyond the classroom. The administration has taken several initiatives to encourage co-curricular activities, aiming to foster students’ mental growth and provide recreation alongside academics.

A visit to the campus reveals a lively scene — students playing carrom and chess during breaks, others cheering on their friends, creating an energetic and friendly atmosphere. “We are working tirelessly to build a complete learning environment,” said Jahangir Selim, Assistant Registrar (Admin). “Our goal is to combine quality education with opportunities for students’ overall development.”

He added that teaching standards, class regularity, examination schedules, and infrastructure have all improved significantly. Students say this environment makes them more confident and motivated, helping them manage stress and engage more enthusiastically in class.

CBIU is thus evolving into a vibrant campus — a place where education, friendship, creativity, and leadership flourish side by side.
