Cox’s Bazar experienced 111 millimeters of rainfall in the past 24 hours, according to Abdul Hannan, Assistant Meteorologist at the Cox’s Bazar Meteorological Office.
He stated that the sky is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy throughout the rest of the day and night. Light rain may continue into Monday, he added.
The weather department also forecast that similar conditions may persist over the next two to three days. Citizens have been advised to remain cautious and plan accordingly.
With continued rainfall, there are concerns that some low-lying areas in Cox’s Bazar may experience temporary waterlogging. Local authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
