Tourist attractions in Cox’s Bazar are witnessing an overwhelming influx of visitors during the extended Eid-ul-Azha holidays. From the iconic Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni points of the sea beach to Himchhari, Inani, Patuartek, Teknaf, Moheshkhali, Kutubdia, Dulahazara Safari Park, and Ramu—almost every entertainment hub in the district is teeming with travellers. There seems to be hardly any space left.
According to hospitality industry sources, hotels, motels, and guest houses are fully booked, indicating the sheer volume of tourist arrivals this festive season. Visitors, both domestic and international, have expressed a sense of safety, crediting the region’s stable law and order situation.
Additional DIG of Tourist Police, Apel Mahmud, said that law enforcement has been reinforced at all major spots to ensure a secure environment amid the holiday rush.
Meanwhile, Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Jasim Uddin Chowdhury, acknowledged the heavy pressure on the city’s roads due to the surge in tourists. “Despite the challenges, the district police are actively working to keep traffic under control and ensure safe travel for everyone,” he added.
