The four-day government holiday for Durga Puja has begun, leading to an influx of tourists in the tourist city of Cox’s Bazar.
Due to the rush, all hotel, motel, and guesthouse rooms are fully booked. To ensure the safety of visitors and tourists, the tourist police have coordinated efforts with the army, district administration, and district police.
By noon on Thursday, October 10, the Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni beach areas were bustling with thousands of tourists. Tourism authorities have urged visitors not to come to Cox’s Bazar without booking hotel rooms in advance.
