Cox’s Bazar’s very own Amiyo Chakraborty Gopal has secured a spot in the top five of the patriotic song category in the popular children’s television competition ‘Notun Kuri 2025’, aired on Bangladesh Television (BTV).

The ongoing Top Ten round began on October 24 and will conclude on Wednesday, October 29.

As in every season, the judges have been deeply impressed by the contestants’ performances this year, from whom the next generation of young stars will soon emerge.

The final selection round concluded last Tuesday, and during the competition held at BTV’s Rampura headquarters in Dhaka on Sunday (October 26), Gopal was announced among the top five in the patriotic category.

With this achievement, the young talent from Cox’s Bazar now stands on the threshold of the final round, where dreams take flight for the nation’s budding performers.

Gopal’s music teacher, artist Priya Dutta, confirmed the news soon after the results were announced at BTV’s Rampura studio premises.

Gopal’s parents, Surajit Chakraborty and Dolonchampa Bhattacharya, expressed their excitement and optimism about their son’s upcoming performance in the grand finale.

“I’m overwhelmed by the love and support Gopal has received from the people of Cox’s Bazar,” said Dolonchampa Bhattacharya, who is also a schoolteacher.

“I sincerely thank everyone and humbly request your prayers and blessings for Gopal in the final round,” she added.
