Shaheda Akter Ripa, a member of Bangladesh’s national women’s football team that recently secured a spot in the AFC Women’s Asia Cup, has traveled to Thailand to participate in two international friendly matches.

Ripa, who hails from Ukhiya in Cox’s Bazar, shared the news on her Facebook profile, writing, “We departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11 am today for Thailand. We’ll play two international friendlies against the Thailand national team on October 24 and 27.”

Speaking about the tour, Ripa said, “This trip brings new experiences and challenges for our team. We’ll give our best to represent Bangladesh proudly on foreign soil, InshaAllah.”

Concluding her post with a message of hope, Ripa added, “Please keep us in your prayers so that we can play well and raise Bangladesh’s flag even higher.”
