The Cox’s Bazar District Development Coordination Committee held its monthly meeting this morning in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office. The meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Abdul MannaDeputy Commissioner (DC) Md Abdul Mannan chaired the meeting, which attractedn, was attended by officials from various government departments and law enforcement agencies.
During the meeting, the DC emphasized the importance of collective effort in transforming Cox’s Bazar into a truly tourist-friendly city.
“To make Cox’s Bazar a tourism-friendly city, everyone must work together,” said DC Mannan.
He also announced that mobile courts would continue to operate against those involved in harassing tourists and in the production, supply, or sale of unsafe food.
Among others, the meeting was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of the District Council, Mohammad Al Maruf; the Additional Superintendent of Police, Nazmus Sakib Khan; and the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Imran Hossain Sajib, who also shared their remarks.
The meeting discussed several key issues, including strengthening security measures to ensure the smooth celebration and immersion of Durga Puja, promoting the development of the salt industry and cultivation, and improving education and healthcare services in the district.
