A well-marked low has formed over the west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). Under its influence, squally weather may affect the North Bay and adjoining coastal regions of Bangladesh.

As a result, the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal No. 3.

The BMD’s special weather bulletin, issued on Wednesday (October 1), warned that the sea remains very rough due to the system. Fishermen have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.

The bulletin further mentioned that the low-pressure area may intensify into a deep depression, urging all concerned to stay alert and follow regular weather updates.
