International Coffee Day Special
It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t enjoy coffee. Whether on campus, at home, in a fancy restaurant, or the cozy corner of a café, coffee often becomes a beloved companion, offering moments of refreshment or solitude. A sip of coffee, paired with a favorite novel or poem, can awaken the spirit within.
The debate between tea and coffee continues in Bangladesh, but coffee remains one of the most popular drinks worldwide.
However, in Bangladesh, many cafes have sprung up in every corner, offering various coffee options. So why should the coastal city of Cox’s Bazar be left behind? The captivating aroma of coffee has now reached the shores of the sea.
Today, October 1 marks International Coffee Day, celebrated officially since 2015.
In honor of this day, here are the top 5 coffee shops in Cox’s Bazar:
Mermaid Coffee
The well-known Mermaid Eco-Tourism Limited has five coffee shops in Cox’s Bazar, all offering high-quality coffee. Experienced baristas prepare the coffee using enriched beans.
The locations include Mermaid Café Chill and Grill at Sugandha Point by the beach, Mermaid Café Marine Drive in the Himchari block, Mermaid Beach Resort at Pechar Dwip, and Mermaid Eco Resort 2 km away by the Rezu Khal.

Although both shops are owned by the same proprietor, they offer distinct tastes and coffee experiences. These shops are quite popular among foreigners, tourists, and local coffee lovers.

Allegro Art Café & Gallery
A lesser-known but famous coffee shop in Cox’s Bazar, Allegro Art Café & Gallery is in a quiet location. This shop offers quality coffee and a variety of art. It is mainly known among expats living in Cox’s Bazar. You’ll find it opposite the Long Beach Hotel on Kolatoli Road.
