A festive atmosphere enveloped Cox’s Bazar as devotees gathered to celebrate the Jagannath Ratha Yatra. The event began in the afternoon with a colourful procession from Gol Dighi Par, attracting thousands of pilgrims, devotees, and onlookers.
The chariot procession paraded through the town’s main roads, reaching Laboni Point before returning to Gol Dighi Par. Participants added vibrancy to the event with traditional drumming, kirtan, conch shell blowing, and ululation, creating a festive atmosphere that spread throughout the entire town.
Additional security measures were implemented surrounding the religious festival, with law enforcement personnel deployed at key points throughout the city. The local administration coordinated efforts to ensure the Ratha Yatra concluded peacefully and without disruption.
