Even in the heart of winter, Cox’s Bazar has experienced drizzles as the sky remained overcast throughout the day. According to meteorological forecasts, light rainfall began late Saturday evening, marking a shift in the region’s weather conditions.

Starting around 10:00 PM on December 21, several areas across Cox’s Bazar district, including Ramu and Maheshkhali, reported intermittent drizzle. The city of Cox’s Bazar was no exception, with light rain adding to the wintry atmosphere.

The Meteorological Department stated that a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal intensified into a depression on Friday night. This has resulted in rainfall across the southern regions of the country. Authorities have issued a cautionary signal for maritime ports, urging vigilance.

This weather update was included in a special bulletin released on Saturday, highlighting the depression’s impact on local weather patterns.
