Muslims in Cox’s Bazar observed the holy festival of Eid-ul-Azha with deep religious devotion and joyful enthusiasm.

The main and first Eid congregation was held at 7:30 AM at the Central Eidgah Ground, led by Maulana Mahmudul Haque, the Khatib of the District Model Mosque. The second congregation followed at 8:30 AM at the same venue, led by Maulana Solaiman Kashemi, the Khatib of the Central Eidgah Jame Mosque.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin was present at the first congregation, where nearly 15,000 worshippers offered their Eid prayers. Devotees then joined together in heartfelt prayers (munajat) seeking blessings and mercy from the Almighty.

Additionally, Eid congregations were held at various mosques across the city. The Baitush Sharaf Jame Mosque and Baro Bazar Jame Mosque hosted prayers at 8:00 AM, while the Badar Mokam Jame Mosque and Baharchhara Jame Mosque held their prayers at 8:30 AM.

Following the prayers, devout Muslims across the city performed sacrificial offerings, seeking closeness to Allah through this sacred act of devotion.
