The Cox’s Bazar Electricity Office has announced a scheduled power outage in various parts of the town to facilitate the trimming of tree branches near the 11kV lines. The outage aims to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during the ongoing winter season. A notification from the electricity office states that the temporary power disruptions will occur from Saturday, December 28, to Thursday, January 2.
On Saturday, December 28, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the power supply will be suspended in the following areas: Sadar Hospital, SP Office, DC Office, Hill Top and Hill Down Circuit House, BTCL, Roads and Highways Department Office, Stadium Para, Shaheed Minar Road, Hazi Para, South Dikkul, and the Powerhouse to Marine City area.
BSCIC area, RAB-15 Office, Gonoshasthaya Office, Sadar Para, Mohuri Para, Janar Ghona, Kaimmar Ghona, Sikder Para, Barua Para, BGB Camp area, Chowdhury Para, Submarine Cable Office area,
The area includes the north side of Ali’s Jahl Road, SM Para, Godar Para, Khurushkul Road junction, and surrounding areas.
On Sunday, December 29, Tuesday, December 31, and Thursday, January 2, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Marine Drive Road from Bailey Hatchery to Mangala Para, Borochhara, Shuknachhari, Himchhari, and nearby locations will be affected.
On Monday, December 30, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, power will be disrupted in the following areas: Hazi Para, South Dikkul, South Rumalia Chhara, Hashemia Madrasa, Goru Haldar Road, City College, the south side of Ali’s Jahl Road, Sahityika Palli, Kalu’s Shop, Uttaran, the bus terminal, and the police line area.
CNG Filling Station, Powerhouse to Marine City area, BSCIC area, RAB-15 Office, Gonoshasthaya Office, Sadar Para, Mohuri Para, Janar Ghona, Kaimmar Ghona, Naffkunj Para, and adjoining areas.
On Wednesday, January 1, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the power supply will be suspended in the following areas: Peshkar Para, Sluice Gate, Malaria Office Road, Burmese School Road, Kazi Office Road, Sea Beach Tower area, Bazaar Ghat, Boro Masjid area, Kamar Patti, Rice Market Road, Achimong Peshkar Para, Municipal Supermarket.
Block B and C of Sea Beach Residential Area, North Ideal Village, and adjacent regions.
The Cox’s Bazar Power Development Board sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this temporary measure.
