As evening falls, a veil of mist descends over the sky at Cox’s Bazar sea beach, blending the blue of the sea with the horizon to create a striking and almost dreamlike scene. The misty winter evening has left visiting tourists visibly enchanted by nature’s quiet spectacle.
With Friday being a weekly holiday, the beach saw a notable influx of tourists throughout the day. From the afternoon onwards, Laboni Point, Sugandha, and Kolatoli beach areas experienced increased footfall as travellers gathered to enjoy the seaside atmosphere. Many were seen strolling along the shore in the cool evening air, while others busied themselves taking photographs or simply listening to the rhythmic sound of the waves amid the fog.
Sourav, a tourist from Sylhet, said the beach takes on a special beauty on winter evenings. ‘Cox’s Bazar looks completely different when it is wrapped in fog at dusk. Leaving behind the noise of the city and being in such an environment is truly calming,’ he said.
Tourism-related business operators said the arrival of winter, combined with weekly holidays, has led to a rise in visitor numbers. As a result, hotels, motels, restaurants, and tourist spots have regained a sense of vibrancy.
With its unique natural charm and mist-laden winter evenings, Cox’s Bazar has become an even more attractive destination for tourists seeking calm, beauty, and a refreshing escape.
