Like the rest of the world, Christmas is being celebrated in Bangladesh today with due reverence and festive spirit. Marking the most significant religious festival of the Christian community, the country’s premier tourist destination, Cox’s Bazar, is immersed in a joyful holiday atmosphere.
Star-rated hotels across Cox’s Bazar—home to the world’s longest uninterrupted sandy sea beach—have decked themselves out in Christmas colours.
Hotel lobbies feature eye-catching Christmas trees, sparkling lights, and vibrant decorations. Reception staff, welcoming guests in Christmas caps, have added to the lively, cheerful ambience.

Special Christmas programmes have been arranged at leading hotels, including Hotel Sayeman, Ramada, Seagull, Ocean Paradise, Long Beach, Cox Today, Baywatch, Sea Pearl, and other premium properties.
Alongside day-long festivities, the evening programmes include cultural performances, live music, and special Christmas dinners for guests.
Hotel officials said Cox’s Bazar is widely regarded as Bangladesh’s biggest tourism brand. In addition, the presence of international organisations and foreign nationals in the region—primarily due to the Rohingya situation—has increased the demand for such celebrations.
Keeping foreign guests and tourists in mind, star-rated hotels have organised these special Christmas events.
Overall, the joy and colours of Christmas have transformed Cox’s Bazar into a uniquely festive destination, offering visitors a warm and celebratory holiday experience.
