Saint Martin’s Island, Bangladesh’s only coral-enriched island, is a mesmerizing destination with vast blue seas, soaring seagulls, and endless waves. Every winter, thousands of tourists flock to experience this natural wonder. However, recent government regulations have introduced new travel policies. Here are five essential tips to make your visit smooth and enjoyable:

Limited Travel Window

According to government directives, travel to Saint Martin’s is only allowed during December and January. With an official travel pass, a maximum of 2,000 tourists can visit the island daily, and overnight stays are restricted to this number.

No Ships From Teknaf

Moreover, ships from Teknaf can no longer operate to Saint Martin in the fresh directives.

New Route from Cox’s Bazar

Instead of Teknaf, ships now operate on the Cox’s Bazar-Saint Martin route. In the new route, ships depart from the BIWTA Jetty in Nuniyachhara, Cox’s Bazar, in the morning and return from Saint Martin in the afternoon.

Easy Travel Pass Registration

Tourists no longer need to register separately for travel passes. Booking a ship ticket automatically registers passengers handled by the ship operators.

Booking Ship Tickets

Anyone can book tickets online through the ship operators’ customer service hotlines or authorized travel agencies.

Where to Book Ship Tickets?

The government has authorized five ships on the Cox’s Bazar-Saint Martin route. Here’s how to get your tickets:
