Continuous rainfall has swept across Cox’s Bazar since early Monday morning.

The sky became overcast with dark clouds, and loud thunderclaps accompanied by flashes of lightning startled many residents.

The showers, which also began late Sunday night, have stirred up the sea, making it rough and unsafe for swimming.

Authorities have advised tourists not to venture into the waters.

The persistent rain has caused waterlogging in several streets across the town, disrupting rickshaw and small-vehicle movement and forcing commuters to deal with significant inconvenience.

Although the intermittent downpour continues, bringing moments of unease due to the heavy thunder and lightning, it has also offered a welcome relief from the sweltering heat of recent days.
