Cox’s Bazar is set to host the “ISEC Career Carnival 2025” on October 22, aiming to create employment opportunities for approximately 600 skilled young people.
The day-long job fair will be held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Cox Carnival, Motel Probal, jointly organized by the Cox’s Bazar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CBCCI) and the Tourism and Hospitality Industry Skills Council (T&H ISC).
The initiative is being implemented under the ISEC Project, with technical and strategic support from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Department of Youth Development.
The opening ceremony will be graced by Dr. Gazi Md. Saifuzzaman, Director General of the Department of Youth Development, was the chief guest.
The ISEC Project aims to enhance youth employability by providing opportunities for skill development and facilitating job placements. So far, 5,500 young people have been trained under the project using the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) module. Out of them, 600 trainees are expected to secure employment through this fair.
The event will serve as a dynamic platform for trained youth to explore job openings, attend on-site interviews, and pursue internship opportunities. It will bridge the gap between skilled job seekers and industry demand, creating a direct link between employers and skilled workers.
Approximately 40 organizations and employers from various sectors, including tourism and hospitality, construction, information technology (IT), caregiving, and employment portals, will participate in the fair.
The organizers aim to facilitate job placements for 400 candidates in the tourism and hospitality sector, 50 in construction, 40 in the RMG (BGMEA sector), 30 in IT, and 40 in caregiving.
Organizers believe the initiative will strengthen employer–employee connections, foster collaboration with educational institutions, and contribute to sustainable livelihoods and local economic growth.
By showcasing skilled manpower, the fair also seeks to position Cox’s Bazar as a reliable source of competent human resources for both national and international job markets.
All relevant stakeholders are cordially invited to participate in the upcoming job fair on October 22, 2025.
