JYDA Bangladesh is proud to announce that its Founder, Shahrukh Karim, has successfully graduated from the Human Rights Fellowship Programme 2025, implemented by UNDP Bangladesh in collaboration with SURGE Bangladesh, with financial and strategic support from the Government of Switzerland.
The fellowship aimed to strengthen young leaders’ knowledge and capacity in human rights, civic responsibility, inclusion, gender equality, and community engagement.
Through intensive training and practical facilitation experience, fellows were equipped to promote human rights awareness and encourage active civic participation across Bangladesh.
During the graduation ceremony held on 24–25 July 2026 in Gazipur, Shahrukh Karim received a Letter of Appreciation and a personalized commemorative recognition in acknowledgment of his dedication and contribution to the fellowship.
Reflecting on the achievement, Shahrukh Karim said: “This fellowship has been a transformative journey that deepened my understanding of human rights and strengthened my commitment to serving communities with empathy, inclusion, and accountability. I sincerely thank UNDP Bangladesh, SURGE Bangladesh, the National Human Rights Commission, the Government of Switzerland, and everyone involved for this incredible opportunity.”
This achievement further reinforces JYDA Bangladesh’s commitment to promoting human rights, youth leadership, peacebuilding, and inclusive community development, particularly among young people and marginalized communities.
The knowledge and experience gained through the fellowship will strengthen JYDA’s ongoing initiatives that advance justice, equality, and meaningful youth participation.
