With the motto “Changing Society Through Humanitarian Service,” the Lions Club of Cox’s Bazar Freedom has stepped forward to bring the light of education to underprivileged children. As part of this effort, the club, in collaboration with the Leo Club of Maheshkhali Freedom, has established the “Lions Learning Academy” in Asadtali, Chhoto Maheshkhali.
The official launch ceremony was graced by Lion Mizanul Karim, the President of the Lions Club of Cox’s Bazar Freedom and Leo Club Advisor. The event’s chief guest was Lion Engineer Sahed Salauddin MJF, IPP, Club Administrator, and District Convention Treasurer.
Among the special guests were Vice President Lion Mohammad Shamsuddin Faruqi and Director Lion Belal Uddin, who reiterated their commitment to education, humanitarian service, and social development. They assured continued support for underprivileged communities, emphasizing that Lions Club of Cox’s Bazar Freedom would keep working towards education and healthcare initiatives to bring about positive social change.
Maulana Mubarak Hossain, the generous land donor for the institution, also attended the event. Leo Arif Bin Saleh, President of the Leo Club of Maheshkhali Freedom, presided over the program alongside club members who actively participated.
Recognizing that every child is the future of society, the Lions Club of Cox’s Bazar Freedom aims to empower dreams through education. Beyond education, the club has also committed to providing free healthcare services for those in need.
Stakeholders believe this noble initiative will serve as a model for the nation, inspiring similar efforts elsewhere. With a mission to spread the light of service, education, and humanity, the Lions Club’s dedication to social transformation is truly commendable.
