Ukhiya’s Rohingya camp hosted a discussion meeting on maintaining peace and law and order on Thursday.

The event, organized by the camp administration, occurred at Camp 12 in Thaingkhali, hosted by NGO Mukti.

The camp-in-charge (CiC) and Deputy Secretary Minhazul Islam, who served as the chief guest, attended the session.

Syed Lutfar Kabir, Director of Mukti Cox’s Bazar, the Assistant Superintendent of Police from APBn, and other stakeholders were also speaking.

Speakers emphasized the importance of united community action to maintain peace and order in the camp and to prevent crimes such as family violence, human trafficking, abduction, and drug smuggling.

They emphasized that collective social resistance is the only way to curb these issues.

The meeting participants included APBn police, NGO representatives, camp imams, head majhis, sub-majhis, and volunteers.
