The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has named young leg-spinner Noman from Matarbari, Moheshkhali, among the top 14 leg spinners in the country, a remarkable achievement.

As part of its initiative to nurture talented leg spinners, BCB organized a specialized training camp on November 8 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur under the guidance of renowned Pakistani coach Shahid Mohammad.

Following a rigorous six-month trial involving 25 aspiring spinners, Noman’s exceptional skill and determination earned him a spot on the final list, underscoring his immense potential.

BCB’s program aims to provide advanced training to these young cricketers, with plans to send them abroad for further development. Noman’s success is a personal milestone and a source of inspiration for young talents from remote areas like Maheshkhali.

Experts have long noted a scarcity of quality leg spinners in Bangladesh’s cricket landscape. This long-term initiative by BCB seeks to address that gap and strengthen the pipeline for national team prospects.

Noman’s achievement has brought pride to his family, his hometown of Matarbari, and Moheshkhali. His journey is a beacon of hope for aspiring cricketers from similar regions.
