The area around Kakra Beach has emerged as a particular attraction, where verdant hills, casuarina forests, and the roaring sea combine to create a striking natural landscape.
Recent rainfall has revitalised the vegetation along both sides of the road. The casuarina groves appear greener and more vibrant, while the soothing sound of raindrops on the leaves, accompanied by cool sea breezes and crashing waves, offers visitors a tranquil escape from urban life.
Many tourists have been stopping along the route to enjoy the scenery, take photographs, and spend time with family and friends amid the refreshing monsoon atmosphere.
Saiful Islam, a tourist from Dhaka, said he had never visited Cox’s Bazar during the rainy season.
“The beauty of Marine Drive is entirely different during the monsoon. The rain-soaked casuarina forest and the sea together create a truly breathtaking view,” he said.
Local visitor Rahim expressed that the natural beauty of the Kakra area had made a lasting impression on him.
“The surroundings are incredibly green, and the rainy atmosphere makes the place look like a picture-perfect landscape,” he said.
Residents said Marine Drive becomes particularly attractive during the monsoon, drawing nature lovers and photography enthusiasts from across the country. Many visitors flock to the area to enjoy the unique combination of forest, hills, and sea under overcast skies.
