The moon reappeared over Cox’s Bazar on Friday evening after several days of persistent rainfall and overcast skies, bringing relief to residents and tourists alike.
As clouds gradually cleared on the evening of July 24, the moon illuminated the coastal town, transforming the atmosphere after days of gloomy weather.
Rainfall had already eased considerably since the morning. Although the sun briefly emerged through breaks in the clouds at different times of the day, the sky remained mostly overcast until late afternoon. By evening, however, the clouds had dispersed, allowing the moon to shine over the coast.
The clearer weather drew more people outdoors, with many visiting the beach and other parts of the town to enjoy the pleasant evening. Some strolled along the shoreline under the moonlight, while others captured the scene on their mobile phones and cameras.
Local resident Md Rasel said that after days of rain and dark skies, seeing the moon again felt like a sign that the weather was returning to normal.
“We had been seeing nothing but rain and dark clouds for the past few days. Seeing the moon tonight feels like nature is finally returning to normal. It’s been a long time since we’ve had such a beautiful evening,” he said.
