Rows of tiny Casuarina (Jhau) saplings have begun to sprout across the dunes of Sonarpara Beach in Cox’s Bazar. Swaying gently in the sea breeze and sunlight, the fresh green shoots have brought a touch of new life to the coastline.
Locals say countless saplings have naturally grown on the dunes recently, enhancing both the beauty of the area and the ecological balance of the coast.
Tourists describe the vast sandy dunes adorned with patches of green as a soothing sight for the soul. Many visitors have been capturing the picturesque scene, preserving the tranquil moment in photographs.
Environmentalists note that Jhau trees are aesthetically pleasing and also play a crucial role in protecting the beach from sand erosion and tidal surges. They emphasize that proper care of these young saplings could make Cox’s Bazar’s coastline greener and more resilient in the future.
