The natural beauty of Cox’s Bazar—its rolling waves, blue skies, green hills, and coastal life—comes vividly to life in the paintings of artist Alamgir Hossain.

His artworks blend elements of marine biodiversity with romantic visual themes, creating scenes that resonate deeply with viewers.

Hailing from Khurushkul in Cox’s Bazar, the young artist has spent nearly two decades turning his passion for painting into a profession. His early fascination with art has evolved into a full-time creative journey, earning admiration from thousands of tourists.

Currently, Alamgir Hossain is actively engaged in commercial art projects. His murals and paintings have become notable attractions in various hotels, resorts, and well-known restaurants across Cox’s Bazar. Over the past 20 years, he has consistently contributed artwork to different establishments.

His work extends beyond large hotels and resorts, finding its place in smaller parks, showrooms, and beachside cafés. He shows particular interest in portraying natural landscapes and marine life through his art.

Alamgir Hossain noted that while many artists are now shifting toward 3D painting and AI-generated designs, hand-painted artwork still carries a unique emotional depth that technology cannot fully replicate.

He added that he is currently working on new projects for several beach cafés and resorts, expressing optimism that the value of this profession will continue to grow.

Through his skillful use of color and composition, Alamgir Hossain is presenting Cox’s Bazar in a fresh artistic light, offering tourists a distinctive visual experience.
