Leaders of the newly elected executive committee of the Tour Operators Association of Cox’s Bazar (TOAC) held a courtesy meeting with Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam Rita and State Minister Rashiduzzaman Millat.

The meeting was held on May 5 at the Bangladesh Tourism Board.

During the meeting, the TOAC leaders invited the ministers to attend their upcoming inauguration ceremony.

TOAC President Anwar Kamal, General Secretary Akhtar Noor, and Vice President Kamal Hossain Khokon were present on behalf of the committee.

Both sides held detailed discussions on the existing challenges and prospects of the tourism sector in Cox’s Bazar. 

Key issues included infrastructure development, modernisation of tourism management, and strategies to attract international tourists.

Anwar Kamal said Cox’s Bazar is the heart of Bangladesh’s tourism and stressed the need for coordinated initiatives to further develop the sector. 

He expressed hope that with government support, existing challenges would be addressed and the region’s potential fully utilised.

Minister Afroza Khanam Rita highlighted the government’s ongoing and future plans for tourism development in Cox’s Bazar and called for collective efforts from all stakeholders.
