The Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar route will see the much-anticipated launch of two new trains, Saikat Express and Probal Express, on February 1. These trains will now stop at the Islamabad Railway Station in Eidgaon, fulfilling a long-standing demand from the local community.

The Saikat Express heading to Chattogram will stop at Islamabad Station daily at 11:05 AM, while the Probal Express en route to Cox’s Bazar will halt at 6:10 PM. Residents can now travel more affordably with ticket prices set at BDT 150 for Chattogram and BDT 45 for Cox’s Bazar.

Locals believe the new train service will significantly reduce travel expenses and save time, benefiting Eidgaon and its surrounding areas. Moreover, it will strengthen connectivity between the bustling commercial hub of Chattogram and the popular tourist destination of Cox’s Bazar.

“This is a huge opportunity for the people of Eidgaon. We’ve been waiting for this for years, and it’s finally happening,” shared a resident.

The train service is expected to address longstanding transportation challenges and positively impact the local economy, fostering growth and accessibility in the region.
