The Cox’s Bazar sea beach is enjoying a calm and soothing winter spell, with the tranquil blue waters captivating visitors.
Red and yellow flags have been placed along the shoreline, indicating that swimming is currently safe.
However, in the morning, fewer tourists enter the water due to the cool breeze, while more people are spotted enjoying the waves once the sun warms up the coast.
Tourists mainly swim at the three designated points — Kolatoli, Laboni, and Sugandha. For safety, Sea Safe Lifeguard authorities have issued several warnings and guidelines.
Lifeguards have clearly marked specific swimming areas at these points and provide active lifeguard support.
Boundaries are identified using red and yellow flags, and swimming beyond these marked zones may pose a serious risk.
“The sea is quite calm at the moment. As winter approaches, we have placed red-yellow flags across the beach to ensure safety,” said Mohammad Osman Gani, Supervisor and Senior Lifeguard of Sea Safe Lifeguard.
He advised all tourists to swim only in the supervised zones to avoid accidents.
Today, Friday (November 28), high tide is expected at 3:45 pm, and low tide is 9:43 pm.
Authorities further reminded tourists thAt ignoring safety flags or lifeguard instructions can result in serious accidents at any time.
