Cox’s Bazar is witnessing a mix of sunshine and rain, creating a lively yet unpredictable seaside atmosphere.

The sea remains somewhat rough, prompting authorities to issue red flags at several beach points.

Despite the humid weather, tourists are finding relief in the ocean, spending most of their time bathing in the salty waves.

The three main beach points—Kolatoli, Laboni, and Sugandha—see the majority of visitors swimming.

To ensure safety, the Sea Safe Lifeguard authorities have urged tourists to follow a set of precautionary guidelines.

According to lifeguard officials, designated swimming zones have been clearly marked at the three points where lifeguard services are available.

Red-yellow or red flags identify these areas, and straying beyond them is considered risky.

Mohammad Osman, Supervisor and Senior Lifeguard of Sea Safe Lifeguard, told Cox’s Bazar Life, “There are numerous pits and rip currents along the beach right now. The waves are also forceful. We’re urging all tourists to remain extra cautious.”

Today, Friday (October 10), low tide occurred at 6:46 a.m., while high tide is expected around 6:49 p.m.

Authorities have further warned that ignoring safety signals or lifeguard instructions could lead to serious accidents at any time.
