Launched on May 1st this year in the Laboni area, Ontomil has quickly become a go-to destination for book lovers of Cox’s Bazar—both tourists and locals alike. The unique name catches the eye, and once one steps inside, any bibliophile will find their soul nourished by its offerings.
Ontomil boasts a diverse collection of both fiction and nonfiction. From works by local and international authors to various magazines, its shelves are filled with high-quality reads on politics, history, and travel.
Roanul Par, the manager of Ontomil, told Cox’s Bazar Life that English books tend to be the bestsellers.
“Tourists and professionals visiting from outside the city are our primary customers,” he explained.
