Organized by Hasi Mukh Youth and Social Development Foundation (HMYSDF), the “Play for Peace” Beach Football Tournament 2025 has concluded successfully, with the final match held on July 29 at Sonarpara Beach, Ukhiya.
The tournament kicked off on July 11 and brought together teams formed by members of the organization, promoting peace, social harmony, and youth leadership through sports.
In an exciting final match, Team Shapla faced off against Team Kadam. The match ended in a 1-1 draw during regulation time, leading to a thrilling tie-breaker where Team Shapla emerged victorious with a 4-3 score, making Team Kadam the runners-up.
The tournament aimed to encourage positive engagement among the youth, spreading a strong message against drug abuse and fostering a spirit of constructive participation within the community.
Fazal Kader Chowdhury, president of the BNP (North Wing), Jalia Palong Union, graced the event as chief guest where Jalal Ahmed, a UP member of Ward 3, Jalia Palong Union, inaugurated the tournament.
Local political figures, development professionals, healthcare workers, human rights activists, entrepreneurs, journalists, and other community leaders graced the event.
Mahabub Kawsar, Head of the Organizing Committee, expressed his heartfelt thanks to all participating teams, volunteers, guests, and sponsors whose support made this event a grand success.
The HMYSDF has announced its intention to continue organizing such events in the future to inspire youth and promote community well-being through sports.
