While fishing boat repair work continues along the banks of the Bakkhali River, pollution in the area is steadily increasing. Just beside the repair sites, discarded cork sheets, wooden scraps, and other waste materials inside the boats are being dumped directly into the river. This reckless disposal of heavy waste severely contaminates the river, posing a significant threat to aquatic life and the surrounding ecosystem. Local environmental activists and concerned tourists have urged the authorities to take immediate and effective action to stop this pollution.
