The monsoon has brought a fresh splendour to Cox’s Bazar, with nature appearing rejuvenated under overcast skies, gentle rainfall, and lush greenery. Rooftop gardens and balcony plants across the coastal town have become even more vibrant, drawing the attention of nature lovers.
A visit to different parts of the town on Sunday revealed flowering plants washed clean by rain, giving them a renewed appearance. Among them, the delicate white-and-purple night-flower jasmine blooms stood out, captivating passers-by with their rain-soaked beauty.
Clusters of blooming night-flower jasmine glistened under droplets of rain at the Cox’s Bazar Press Club premises. Many visitors paused to admire the flowers, while others took photographs of the picturesque scene.
Nature enthusiast Yunus said the beauty of flowers becomes even more striking after rainfall.
“Seeing the rain-washed blossoms today was truly delightful. Such scenes bring a sense of peace and deepen our appreciation for nature,” he said.
Local residents said the monsoon season always transforms Cox’s Bazar into a greener and more attractive landscape, while rooftop and balcony gardens add an extra dimension to the town’s natural beauty.
They noted that in the midst of busy urban life, colourful flowers provide comfort and a sense of tranquillity.
Many observers believe that monsoon rain revitalises trees and plants and refreshes the human spirit. The rain-drenched blooms have therefore added a touch of enchantment to the tourism hub, making Cox’s Bazar appear even more charming this season.
