Porpita porpita, commonly known as the Neel Botam (Blue Button), is a marine organism found in the warm, tropical, and subtropical waters of the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans, as well as in the Mediterranean and eastern Arabian seas. Its scientific name is Porpita porpita. Recently, this fascinating creature has been spotted along the beach area near Jahaj Bhanga, Teknaf, on the Cox’s Bazar Marine Drive Road, beside the Bay of Bengal. The photo was captured from the Jahaj Bhanga beach area of the Cox’s Bazar Marine Drive.
