Tahara Sultana Rekha, a 25-year-old adventurer, has embarked on an extraordinary journey, walking from Shah Porir Dwip Zero Point in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, to Tetulia, Panchagarh—the northernmost point of Bangladesh.

Rekha is documenting her experiences through posts and stories on her Facebook page, which have garnered widespread attention and made her a headline in several media outlets.

She began her journey last Friday at 6 a.m. from Teknaf’s Shah Porir Dwip Zero Point. Rekha has now completed the Cox’s Bazar leg of her trek.

Explaining her motivation, she said, “I started this journey to stay healthy and enjoy the beauty of my country. I’m the youngest in my family and have always been fond of exploring. Walking cross-country was an amazing experience. The love and encouragement I’ve received along the way are overwhelming.”

Rekha hopes to complete the trek in 20–25 days. She shared that during her breaks along the way, locals had greeted her warmly, expressing admiration for her endeavor.

Having grown up loving travel and challenging activities, Rekha explained, “I’ve always been drawn to extreme sports and adventures. These pursuits give me joy and keep me connected to my passion for exploration.”

She emphasized her purpose: “Walking helps maintain physical health and allows us to fully appreciate the world around us. A healthy body fosters positive thoughts, which leads to mental peace. When you embrace positivity, the people around you feel safer and happier. I believe this is how we can create a healthier and safer society.”

Rekha hails from Gondamara Union in Banshkhali, Chattogram. Her remarkable journey inspires many and promotes health, positivity, and connection with nature.
