Along the shores of Cox’s Bazar, rows of beautifully painted sampan boats create a mesmerizing sight. Their vibrant colors and unique design instantly capture the attention of tourists.

A drive along the Marine Drive Road offers a picturesque view of these boats lined up along the beach, making them a favorite spot for visitors to take photos and record memories.

The Dariyanagar stretch of the Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive is one of the best places to witness these traditional boats.

Further along the road, Himchari, Pechar Dwip, Inani, and Patuartek also feature scattered sampans, though the largest concentration can be found in Sonarpara and Teknaf.

In Teknaf, many of these boats are placed right along the roadside, making them an even bigger attraction for travelers.

Tourists visiting Cox’s Bazar primarily come for the sea, but many express delight at discovering these colorful boats.

“We didn’t expect to see so many sampan boats lined up like this—it’s a wonderful sight!” they say.

Moreover, Mermaid Beach Resort offers a unique experience with its own sampan boats. Tourists can take these boats to explore Rezu Khal, adding an adventurous touch to their trip.

With their deep cultural roots and eye-catching presence, these sampan boats have become an essential part of the coastal charm of Cox’s Bazar.
