The Shahid Tanvir Siddiqui Memorial Foundation inaugurated the much-anticipated Shahid Tanvir Short-Pitch Cricket Tournament in Kalarmarchhara, Cox’s Bazar. The foundation’s advisor, Faisal Amin, was the chief guest at the grand ceremony.
Mohammad Kaiser Hamid, Officer-in-Charge of Maheshkhali Police Station, and renowned social worker Mizanur Rahman Matabbar also graced the occasion, making the inauguration a festive and memorable gathering.
The opening match featured a thrilling encounter between the Tarif Tashrif Cricket Team and Nayapara Cricket Academy. District-level star cricketers showcased their talent in a closely contested game, with the Tarif Tashrif Cricket Team emerging victorious. The winning team’s Asif Player of the Match was named for outstanding performance.
Organized in memory of Shahid Tanvir Siddiqui, the tournament aims to honour his legacy through sports. Both players and spectators responded overwhelmingly, creating an atmosphere of excitement and community spirit.
